Itinerary
Day 01 – Airport to Cultural Triangle
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport.
A Sri Lanka Express representative will meet and greet you at the arrival lobby.
Transfer directly to the Cultural Triangle.
Arrive at the hotel and check in.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 – Anuradhapura & Mihintale
After breakfast, transfer to Anuradhapura for a guided city tour exploring Sri Lanka’s ancient capital. In the afternoon, continue to Mihintale, the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Return to the hotel in the Cultural Triangle. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 – Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa & Minneriya
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Sigiriya to explore the iconic Rock Fortress.
Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the hotel OR (Optional afternoon excursions – select 1)
1. Visit a Sri Lankan Batik factory.
2. Explore the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa by bicycle. OR
3. Enjoy a thrilling 4x4 safari at Minneriya National Park.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 – Dambulla to Kandy
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Rock Temple.
Continue to Kandy with optional stops at a spice garden and wood carving factory in Matale.
Enjoy a city tour of Kandy including the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
Witness a traditional cultural dance show in the evening.
Transfer to the hotel by tuk tuk.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 – Pinnawala & Peradeniya
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Pinnawala to visit the famous Elephant Orphanage.
Return to Kandy.
Explore the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.
Enjoy free time for shopping or relaxation.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 – Tea Plantations & Nuwara Eliya
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the Hill Country.
Visit a tea plantation and factory while enjoying breathtaking landscapes.
In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya.
Check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 – Nuwara Eliya to Colombo
Breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed to Colombo via Kitulgala, passing picturesque waterfalls.
In the afternoon, enjoy a Colombo city tour.
Transfer to the hotel and check in.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Note: If you plan a beach extension, this night can be used after the beach stay at no additional charge.
Day 08 – Departure or Beach Extension
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for departure or proceed to a selected beach hotel for a few days of relaxation.
